    Week Beginning 28th April 2014

    Coming up next week…

On Wednesday we are hosting our ‘The Hayes has got Talent’ finals.  These will be taking place between 6pm and 8pm in the school hall.  If your child has already entered our talent competition, they will be sent a text message as soon as the judges have made their decision that will inform them if they are taking part in the final. We are so proud of all of the children who have confidently auditioned, they have impressed us with their talents.   You should hear at some point across the weekend.  If your child is performing on Wednesday evening, they will need to be at school by 5.30pm in order to prepare for their act.  All families at the school are welcome to attend, whether you have children performing or not. We are really looking forward to enjoying a fabulous evening of entertainment, celebrating our children’s amazing wealth of talents.  Refreshments will be available to purchase and please bring small change for our fundraising raffle.

On Friday we are delighted to welcome a visiting theatre company who will perform ‘A Twist in Time’ for the children from Reception to Year 6.  We are extremely grateful to our PTA who have funded this event for the children.

  • Week Beginning 22nd April 2014

    Thu 03 Apr 2014

We have been thoroughly spoilt this week with lots of special Easter activities, our new and ‘egg-citing’ egg rolling competition, which the children have utterly enjoyed, our yearly Egg decoration competition and our superb performance of ‘Humpty Dumpty did he fall or was he pushed?’ by our Junior Drama club and choir.  We are looking forward to returning again after a lovely Easter break.

    Week beginning Tuesday 22nd April

    This week…

When we return after the Easter break we will be entering the Summer term, and we start back at school on Tuesday 22nd April.  We hope to welcome Mr Raffield back to teaching Class 6 having fully recovered after his operation.

On Thursday and Friday we will be hosting our own talent show -‘The Hayes Has Talent’ auditions at school during the school day.  The children can enter with an act of no longer than 3 minutes (or they will be disqualified!) under the categories- music instrumental, music vocal, dance or comedy.  They can enter with others (from any year group, including siblings) but groups must be no larger than 6.  We are really looking forward to celebrating the children’s talents.  In order for them to take part they must have already registered for this event with the PTA.

On Friday don’t forget to bring in your ‘Phil the Bag’, in which the school can raise funds from your unwanted clothing.  If you are having a ‘spring clean’ during the holidays and are sorting out your unwanted clothing, shoes, handbags, curtains, towels and bedding, please help us by keeping these items aside in your ‘Phil the Bag’  and bringing them to the school hall on Friday 25th April.  If you have more than one bag full or have lost your bag, you can bring items in in any type of bag,

Just a reminder that some class assemblies are soon approaching-

Class 6’s assembly will be held on Friday 9th May at 10.15am

Class 2’s assembly will be held on Friday 16th May at 10.15am.
