Week Commencing 30th January 2017
Week beginning 30th January 2017
This week is swimming watching week. Please feel free to come and spectate your children’s swimming lessons. We are sure you will be proud of the great progress they have been making under Mrs Einecker’s excellent teaching. As usual, please may we remind all parents that you are strictly prohibited from taking photographs during this opportunity and ask that anybody who witnesses a breach of this request must inform the school office. Congratulations to all children who took part in the Croydon Gala at Purley Pool last week. We are really proud of you all and hope you are proud of yourselves!
On Monday afternoon, rehearsals continue for the junior CSMA concert. Children involved in this event will finish at the slightly later time of 3:30.
On Tuesday David from the Croydon Schools Sports Partnership is joining our Year 1 children for their PE lessons! After school there is a choir rehearsal and at 5pm we will be holding a parent meeting for parents of children in Year 5 about the planned residential journey to Carroty Wood. This is your chance to come and find out more about this exciting opportunity which the children are all really looking forward to!
On Wednesday, parents of children in class 8 are warmly invited to join us at 9:15 in the school hall for class 8’s assembly.
Film club begins immediately after school on Wednesday. We thank our parent’s association for organising this event. We are sure the children will have great fun and enjoy the showing of ‘Ice Age Collision Course’. Please be ready to collect at 5pm.
It is a rehearsal for our Infant children who have signed up for the CSMA concert on Thursday 2nd February. This will take place at Wolsey Infant School. The children will travel by coach and we anticipate they will return back to school by approx. 3:45.
In addition, David from the CSSP will be teaching some of our Year 5 children how to be Sports Leaders on Thursday afternoon! I am sure they will really enjoy this opportunity and be able to share some of their new found knowledge with younger children in our playground.
We hope you are having a great weekend!
