Breakfast with Santa: we start this week with a special event for the children which has been organised by the PTA…breakfast with Santa! This will be taking place on Monday and Tuesday morning in the hall from 8am. If you have bought a ticket, we look forward to seeing you there! If your child usually attends breakfast club, please can we ask that you bring them in via the playground on these days rather than the hall door. Many thanks. Thank you also to our PTA for organising our Elfridges gift room last week. The children were very excited to choose and wrap gifts for their loved ones.
Nativity: on Wednesday, our reception children will be performing their nativity in the school hall at 1:45pm. Tissues at the ready! Please can we remind you that there is limited space in the school hall and therefore we can only admit 2 spectators per child. We also have children in the performance who cannot have their photo taken or be filmed. The EYFS staffing team have said they will ensure a photo gets to you of your child, in their full costume before the end of this term. Thank you.
Height and Weight: on Thursday, the school nursing team will be in school to carry out the Year 6 height and weight check. The outcomes of these checks are not shared with the school team and the nursing team will contact you directly if there are any concerns.
All Saints: on Thursday, we are also hoping to take the children in Reception to visit All Saints church. This is dependent on having enough parent helpers so please do let us know, if you have not done so already, if you are able to assist with this visit. Thank you.
Christmas Singing: after school on Thursday, the children in Year 3 and 4 will be singing some Christmas songs in the playground. If you have a child in this year group and wish to come and watch them, please join us from 3pm. Thank you. Children in Year 5 and 6 will be singing at 3pm in the playground on Friday 9th and those in Years 1 and 2 on Monday 12th.
Christmas Jumper Day and Christmas lunch: on Friday, we are celebrating Christmas jumper day and the children are permitted to wear their Christmas jumper to school rather than their normal school sweatshirts, they are to wear their school bottoms and black shoes. Lunchtime will be festive, where the children can opt to have a Christmas dinner. Please note, on this day, there will not be an option of pasta, baguette or jacket potato. The children can have a traditional or vegetarian Christmas dinner only.
