Week beginning 25th September 2017

Thank you to all parents who came along to the Curriculum Meetings yesterday to find out what your children are learning this year. As Miss Slade’s email this week stated, if you were unable to attend you will be able to look at the presentations delivered on our school website from Monday (Parent Information tab/Parent Workshops).

Year 2 looked fantastic this week dressed up for their Circus day, they all had a great day and great fun! If you follow The Hayes on Twitter, please check out our page to see our photos!

Many thanks for the money raised for Jeans for Genes day today. We will let you know how much we have collected in next week’s bulletin.

Just a reminder for reasons of Health and Safety, children should not wear jewellery to school. Earrings are not permitted on swimming and PE days, but plain studs may be worn on the days your child does not take part in sport. If a watch is worn the responsibility for its safety lies entirely with the owner. Thank you as always for your support and understanding.

Next Week:

*Thursday 28th September – Bags 2 School remember to bring your recycling to the office by 9am. No bedding, curtains, towels, household linen or bric a brac! Many thanks.

*Friday 29th September – Our school photographer is in to take individual and sibling photos.

Up Coming Events:

On Monday 2nd October, The Hayes Primary and Hayes Church will be holding our Grandparents Breakfast again. This is to celebrate our wonderful grandparents who do so much for us all. The breakfast was very popular last year so to ensure we get the right number of croissants (etc!), can you please sign up in the foyer. Many thanks.

The times are listed below:

8.00am – Year 5 and Year 6

8.10am – Year 4

8.20am – Year 3

8.30am – Year 2

8.40am – Year 1

8.50am – Reception.

If you have a grandchild in more than one class you are more than welcome to choose which time slot to attend with all of your grandchildren.

We have also confirmed our dates for our residential trips this year. Year 5 will be going to Carotty Wood from the 16th – 18th March 2018. Year 6 will be going to the Isle of Wight from the 4th – 8th June 2018.

If you are interested in pre-school swimming lessons there are currently some spaces available. Please contact Miss De Cruz for further information.

Congratulations to all of our children who received commendation certificates today. Well done!

Have a lovely weekend.
