Week Beginning 1st December 2014

Please don’t forget that it is our Christmas Fair this Saturday 29th November at school between 12.00-3.00pm.  We are delighted that a blockbuster film star will be opening the fair and photographers from the Croydon Advertiser will be here to capture the moment!  This is no other that one of our own current pupils Kit Connor, who plays the lead child part, Tom, in ‘Get Santa’, a Warner Brothers film that opens in the UK on 5th December.  You can view Kit’s talent in the trailer of the film online.  Well done Kit, what a tremendous acting achievement, we are all so proud of you!

Please do come along to support our fair, as mentioned before there will be a lot of fun activities, ranging from a photo booth, 8 lane ‘scalextrics’, tombola, our ever popular secrets room and bumper boats for your children to participate in.  Don’t forget to book your slot with Santa through the PTA events page, www.pta-events.co.uk/thehayes.  Thank you to all families who have kindly made donations towards the fair or have volunteered to help, if you still wish to bring in donations for the fair please do so tomorrow, Friday 28th November.

Week Beginning 1st December

I can’t believe it is December already! What is coming up this week…

Our Year 5/6 Sportshall Athletics team will be competing on Monday between 4pm-5.30 at Royal Russell, we wish them all the best.

During the morning on Tuesday 2nd December all of our Year 5 and 6 children will be attending this year’s CSMA Orchestral Carol Concert at the Fairfield Halls.  Some of our Year 6 drama club members are also performing in the concert.  We hope all of the children attending really enjoy the experience.

Also on Tuesday our Year 5/6 football team are playing a match at Byron Primary school after school.  At present they are still undefeated, well done and good luck to them!

On Friday 5th December it is our Open Afternoon in school between 2.00-3.00pm.  Please do try to come in to have a look at your children’s learning in their books/folders and in displays in the classroom. They are always keen to share with you and show you what they have been up to.   May we politely request that you do not bring buggies or younger siblings to this event as fitting 30 children and 30 parents into our classrooms is a challenge in itself!

We hope you enjoy the weekend.
