Week Beginning 17th May

Firstly to members of our school community who have been celebrating this week, we wish you all a very happy Eid!

On Monday next week, our school photographer is coming in to take class photographs. Please ensure your children are wearing their full school uniform. If your child is in Reception and they usually have PE on this day, they do not need to bring their PE kit with them. However, children in Year 4 should bring their kit to school in a bag please.

We look forward to welcoming back Class 8 on Monday. Well done for completing your home learning, we are looking forward to seeing  you back. Please may we remind all parents that if any children are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, a new continuous cough, a loss of taste or smell or a high temperature, you must take them for a PCR test and isolate with any siblings until the test results come back. This is to ensure everybody's safety. Please do not send children to school if they have any of these symptoms.

On Friday (21st), the children are invited to wear odd socks to support the Daniel Spargo Mabbs Foundation.  This is a charity that we work closely with to help educate our children about the dangers of drug taking. If you are able to support the charity, and the fantastic work they do in schools, please consider making a £1 donation. This can be paid on ParentPay. Thank you.

Please can we remind parents, if you are providing your children with grapes in their packed lunch box, to slice these in half before you pack them. Whole grapes are a choking hazard for young children. We want to do everything we can to keep our children safe.

The week beginning 24th May, will be our whole school History Week. Previously in History Week we looked at 'Historical Places in our local area'. This year the focus is on be 'People in History who are linked to our local area'. After the event, we will share some of the children’s learning on the gallery page of our school website.

We wish you all a safe and happy weekend and thank you for your ongoing support.
The Hayes Team.
