Week Beginning 10th November

A huge thank you to all those families who have kindly supported the Link to Hope Shoe box appeal. We are extremely lucky that our collection date has been altered which has extended our deadline until Wednesday 12th November, so if you would like to make a shoe box this weekend there is still time to do so.  Sadly we have still not reached out target of 80 shoeboxes so would be extremely grateful for any extra donations.

On Tuesday 11th November we are delighted to welcome visitors from our local elderly community to come to watch a performance by our Junior Choir during the afternoon.  We hope that the children and their special visitors have an enjoyable afternoon.

On Thursday 13th November our Year 4 children are out visiting Boxhill all day on a Geography visit.   If your child is in Year 4 please refer to your previous letter which outlines the appropriate clothing that the children need to wear, with warm outdoor coats.

On Friday 14th November 2014 Class 3 will be leading our whole school assembly at 10.15pm.  If your child is in Miss Smallwood’s class and you wish to join us for this event please come to the school hall at 10.15am.

As part of anti bullying month all children in KS1 and KS2 will watch special anti-bullying performances.  Thank you to those parents who have already handed in their donations of £1.50.  The KS1 children will watch a ‘do’s and don’ts’ and KS2 children will watch ‘Cyberbuster.

Just a reminder to all parents that as we are a healthy school may we politely request that if it is your child’s birthday and they would like to bring something in for the class, we suggest a donation of a game for wet play/a book for their class library/healthy snack/box raisins, rather than sweets.  Thank you.

We do hope you have a lovely weekend.  If you are enjoying a firework display the children have all had an assembly this week about fireworks safety so please keep safe and enjoy!
