(Indoor & Outdoor Activities)

Swimming Kit

On the days your child has PE (usually twice a week), they should come to school wearing their PE kit instead of the regular school uniform:

· Black shorts

· Plain white T-shirt

· Grey PE sweatshirt with printed logo (or plain grey)

· Trainers (plain white or plain black)

· Plain, unbranded dark jogging bottoms for cold weather

Your child will be swimming on alternate weeks and will need to bring the following in a named bag on their swim days:

· Dark coloured trunks for boys

· Dark coloured swimming costume for girls

· Towel

· Swim hat

· Goggles (optional)

NOTE: Swimming hats are compulsory, you can purchase hats with ‘The Hayes’ logo via ParentPay and collect from the main office

Jewellery

For reasons of Health and Safety, children should not wear jewellery to school.  Earrings are not permitted on swimming and PE days, but plain studs may be worn on the days your child does not take part in sport.

If a watch is worn the responsibility for its safety lies entirely with the owner. In Reception we advise against watches being worn. Under no circumstances are smart watches permitted.

Make Up and Nail Varnish

Make up and nail varnish should not be worn in school, this includes false nails, painted or otherwise.

We politely request that children do not colour their hair.
