Week beginning Monday 3rd November 2025
Today after school we are hosting our Spooktacular bake sale – why not pop along for an end of term treat? It is a great way to say well done to the children for a fantastic first half term of hard work and learning. Thank you to all those who baked for or donated to this event and to our PTA for running it. Items will be available for as little as 50p. Thank you for your support with our fundraising endeavours.
I would like to start this week’s bulletin with some fantastic news… Phase 1 of our swimming pool repairs have been completed. The pool has been refilled and is currently being heated. This means that swimming lessons will resume after the half term break. We will be starting with odd number classes and Rainforest class will be swimming for the first time too. All items in the children’s swimming kits should be named clearly and all children require a swim hat which can be purchased on ParentPay for £4.45. To support our younger children to dress independently, we recommend socks rather than tights and Velcro shoes rather than laces on swimming days. Thank you so much for your patience during the recent repair works.
Following the half term break, the children return to school on Tuesday 4th November (Monday 3rd is an INSET day for staff only).
We are hosting a Reception Open Morning on Thursday 6th November. If you, or someone you know has a child due to start school in September 2026, please let them know they can book to attend our open morning on our school website. This will start at 9:30am in the hall. Also on Thursday, the school council will be meeting from 12:30-1:00 in the computing suite. School council reps should have an early lunch.
On Friday 7th November we are holding a pyjama day. If the children would like to wear their pyjamas, we ask that they donate an item for our Christmas Fair. In particular, our PTA would like bottles of drinks (alcohol and non-alcohol), chocolates and/or toiletries to make up the hampers. If your child is not comfortable wearing their pyjamas, they can choose a comfortable alternative. Please can we remind you to keep the date for the fair in your diaries (15th November) 12-3. We would love to see you there!
Lastly, we would like to thank you for your support during the first half term. We wish you all a restful and enjoyable break.
