Week Beginning 23rd January 2017

Coming up this week…

On Monday we host the first of the Junior CSMA rehearsals in the school hall from 1:30-3:30. If your child is taking part in this event, please note the slightly later finishing time. We still have some space for children in Year 2 to sign up for the infant music festival. A letter will be sent out again with the details of this activity which provides a wonderful opportunity for children to develop new skills, gain confidence and have fun performing with many other  children across the borough!

On Tuesday David from the Croydon Schools Sports Partnership (CSSP) will be working with children in Year 1 during their PE sessions.

Choir will rehearse after school on Tuesday from 3:10-4:30.

On Wednesday the 25th the school Council meet once more. They are a very proactive group this year and have been working really hard leading pupil led improvements to the school which this term, have been focusing on Catering, School toilets, and the soon to launch ‘Happy Hayes Patrol’ (a system of playground helpers). In addition the children have voted to raise money for Cancer Research and as such have organised a ‘Crazy Hair day’! On Monday 10th February all children are encouraged to come to school sporting crazy hair (wig/ funny colour/ style). All children taking part are asked to make a contribution of £1 which will all go directly to Cancer Research.

Parents of children in class 4 are warmly invited to attend the class assembly on Thursday the 26th January. This will take place in the school hall at 9:15. We look forward to seeing you there.
