Week Beginning 19th November 2018
Thank you to all those parents who attended meetings with their children’s class teachers this week. We hope you found the opportunity to talk to your child’s teacher useful and informative. Please remember we are always here to answer any questions or discuss any worries or concerns you may have.

On Tuesday at 930am, we are hosting another New Reception Parent Open Morning. If you have a child due to start in September 2019 please come along to meet with the leadership team and have a tour of the school.

School Council will be meeting on Thursday 22nd. If your child is the class rep, please remind them to have an early lunch, ready to meet at 12:30 in the ICT suite.

On Saturday 24th, it is our Christmas Fair from 12-3 (Ice Skating starts from 11:30- please do book your slot on the PTA website, www.pta-events.co.uk/thehayes). There will be Santa’s Grotto, Slime and Craft, games and karaoke room, hampers, 12-days of Christmas auction, Frozen Princess tent and food and drinks. The school choir will be singing outside the school entrance when the Fair opens at 12pm for 20 minutes. A huge amount of work has gone into making this event happen. Our thanks go to the PTA and all those who have donated items for hampers, raffle prizes or their time! Please come along for a fun filled day and support this super event.

On Friday 23rd, we wish our football team good luck in their match after school against Beaumont. #bethebestyoucanbe

19th – 25th November is Road Safety week and this years’ theme is bike smart.  The children will be exploring how to stay safe when cycling and the importance of being seen when travelling in these dark winter months.  We will be participating in the 2018 ‘Brighten your bag’ competition organised by Croydon Council.  During the week will be asking the children to design a bag which is reflective, florescent and bright.  If you do not want your child to participate in this competition please let their class teacher know.

Have a great rest of Sunday weekend.
